Today went very smooth. Tank 25 doesnt seem diffrent, except for the new godlfish. The goldfish ate suprisingly quick. The crab in Mrs. speece’s tank ate aggresively, probably because it was hungry. Bobo, the cat fish, ate normally. We started to feed him less pellets because every time we feed him, we found a few pellets floating. Other than that, the feeding went really well today.

BoBo the fish

Why! I don’t know why, but this taank will not work with us. I think that BoBo will just never like us. We constantly have to vaccum out this tank. I have no idea why. Even after we clean it out, we still see dark brown stuff floating in the tank. I hope that the students next year will not have such a hard time with BoBo.

Bobo is a funny catfish. He does not like to eat ALL of his pellets. He eats some of his pellets, but leaves the rest at the bottom for us to find a week later. Bobo is very jumpy; I think he is still trying to get used to us. I hope that Bobo will get to know better.

My group consists of four people. We had tanks 103, 206, and tank 25. The fish in Ms. Speece’s room ate very fast, I mean in like 10 seconds. We cleaned off all the algae and cleaned the outside of the tanks. In Mrs. Gibsons room(206) the fish ate the pellets but very slowly. The tank was very dirty with algae and was very clean on the inside and out after we finished it. For tank 25 The fish also ate very fast and was clean on the inside and outside.

Fish Tanks

The catfish aka Bobo in room 206 is still eating the same amount of food 6 or 7 carnivore pellets. The salinity was 6ppt the tank was cleaner than usual. The blue crab in room 103 is still eating all of its food. The salinity was 10ppt and the tank was the same.

We cleaned the tank in room 206.  We first had to clean the outside of the tank with vinegar and a towel. Then we clean the inside with the algae scrubbers. We fed Bobo, the class catfish, sinking carnivore pellets. Then we went to room 203 and we had to add water to the tank. then we went back to class.

When we went to take care of Bobo the catfish in room 206 we cleaned the outside of the tank with vinegar and a towel. Then we cleaned the inside of the tank with the algea scrubber and feed the fish 6-7 sinking canivore pellots. Next we went down to room 103 and meet up with the rest of our team the went back to Marine Science.
